Today I painted "Dake to Columbia Lake Channel". This is based on a photograph of the channel in the Waupaca Chain O Lakes in Wisconsin. Hopefully, it will be dry in time for the Strawberry Fest on June 19. The painting is similar in style to my last one (see "Tomorrow River Impression") with some impressionist artistic license added to the painting. Again, I tried to contrast the darkness of being under the trees with the light ahead as the channel enters into the lake.Saturday, June 5, 2010
